They are about 5'' to 6'' in diameter and 6'' to 7'' tall. The
tough shell, at about 1/8'' thick, feels like ceramic. Our eggs
have a small hole drilled in the bottom where the white and yolk
is drained then thoroughly cleaned inside and out. What a great

are the largest living birds in the world.
Native to Africa, the male can grow to 9' tall and
reach up to 350 pounds. These flightless birds can
live between 30 and 70 years. The Ostrich is the
only bird with two toes on each foot. They are also
very fast! Thier strides can reach between 16 and 23
feet and they can maintain speeds of up to 50 miles per hour
for a half hour at a time! This very unique taxidermy Ostrich chick
set in a half shell mounted on a wood base. Very nicely done. A
